CodeFest!

A hackathon where everyone at BTH is welcome to create their own projects, supported by AI! 🤖 Over twelve hours, you will build a project from scratch based on themes presented at the start. You choose what you want to create and whether you work in a team or individually. Food 🍕 will be provided during the day, along with lectures about AI and related topics that can offer both ideas and practical guidance. Both beginners and experienced participants are welcome. When the time is up, you will present your projects and winners will be selected 🏆.

Best Use of Gemini API

It’s time to push the boundaries of what's possible with AI using Google Gemini. Check out the Gemini API to build AI-powered apps that make your friends say WHOA. So, what can Gemini do for your hackathon project?

  • Understand language like a human and build a chatbot that gives personalized advice

  • Analyze info like a supercomputer and create an app that summarizes complex research papers

  • Generate creative content like code, scripts, music, and more

Think of the possibilities… what will you build with the Google Gemini API this weekend?

Innovation & Creativity

This category assesses the uniqueness of your concept. We are looking for original submissions that break away from common patterns and demonstrate a creative approach to solving a problem or providing entertainment.

Impact & Usefulness

Evaluates whether the solution effectively addresses a real-world problem. A high-scoring project provides a clear benefit to its target users and solves a specific pain point in a meaningful way.

UI/UX

Covers the usability and interface design of the project. We look for intuitive navigation, clean visual design, and an overall seamless experience for the person interacting with the application.

Presentation & Demo (For Finalists)

Finalists will be judged on the clarity of their pitch and the quality of their live demonstration. This includes the ability to explain the project's value and show its core features in action effectively.
